Hi, Looking for an amp to EVM speaker cabinet. What do you recommend? What would you choose? The sound should be natural warm bass sound.

Amp for EVM 12L series II 8 ohm 200w speaker?

In my experience, some guitar speakers can sound quite good with bass, and can handle them fine as long as you keep to a very low volume, I.e. if you want to record. Unfortunately, that speaker really isn't going to work for bass in any kind of live environment. It just wont, sorry. However, a small (very small) tube amp could give something you could possibly use in a studio environment. As far as I know, some people have been modifying Epiphone valve juniors to be used as bass heads, and that could be the power range you're looking for, if you want to do that.
Outside of those bounds though, you're going nowhere. I wouldn't want to suggest much more than 5w, and even that could be pushing it. Be careful, if it farts out at all, then you're in bad territory.

I used to use an Asdown Elec Blue 180w with a single 12" Fane spkr for monitoring and practice, and 2 x 12 or a 15" for small gigs. It was not really a bass giutar speaker but had a better low response than the EVM 12L which is really a guitar speaker. The response that E.V. lists is 80hz to 7000hz not enough low end for bass guitar, having said that what cab is it in, the TL 808 is listed for the EVM 12 L and in down tuned mode with the port coverd goes to 53 hz with reduced output around 80 to 100hz you would need to look up the info on the E.V. web site. As said above I would not recomending pushing the speaker hard as it was not really made for your application.
