I think you’re forgetting that the OP had
a combo amp and is looking for another
combo amp.
What speaker are you recommending
to use with the AI head? This seems
to be getting rather expensive and doesn’t have the convenience of a
combo configuration.
 
If you had about $500 USD and were looking for a small combo for practice, small gigs, etc, what are you going with?

Used GK or PJB combo? Mark Bass back line 1x12? What’s your pick?
I like the BG400 combo because it's one of the few combos still in production for doublers.

That being said, you might be able to figure out how to get a Mark 1x12 combo, swap out the head for a Mark Tube 800 (as it has 2 inputs), sell the original combo head to recoup some of the cost (or keep it), and use that to double. Just a thought.
