amp head cheap

I need an used amp head for around a hundred bucks i have been searching ebay for the weeks and cant seem to win any of them i am looking for a 200 to 300 watt systemand age doesnt matter any brands or specifics i should be looking for?:hmm: also i will be running the steelsound 2 by 12 cabinet

you are bidding the wrong way. never bid on an item you want before the very end of the auction. bid your best price about one minute before the auction ends. that is what all the guys beating you by 15 bucks are doing, bidding before the end of the auction only drives the price up. and get a peavey mark 3.

yeah I never understood why people didn't do this. I figure if everyone knew what they were doing, the price of a given item would remain its starting price until the last 5 minutes or so.

one more vote for an old peavey mark 3 or mark 4 type head. all the heads of that type had a huge heat sink on the back you wrap the cord around, put 300 watts into 2 ohms, 210 into 4, and about 160 into 8. great tone and you can drop it off a truck.

I agree.I picked up a old mark 3 on e-bay for $90.
I use it with a old Mackie sub woofer that I cut the front 5" off. That left me with a nice 15" ported cab. This combo works great for smaller jobs.I mean ,I don't love hauling the SVT around EVERYWHERE.
