Amp Help...

Sorry for my other thread "How much is too much?". It gave minimal info and was stupid...haha

I still want to find a cheap, quality, loud bass amp...dont we all...

Here's the appropreite info...

I play a Schecter Damien 4 String.

I'm in a band with 2 other guitarists and a drummer.

Both the guitarists want half stacks for Christmas so they think I should move up. I'm not sure they'll get their amps but that would be OK.

I currently run thru a GK Backline 110 (75W)

We may buy a PA, but I have no idea how that affects my amp...

We have vocals, and the drummer has a decent sized set.

I need to know how many watts i need and suggestions would be great.

I'm curently looking at a Behringer Ultrabass BX4410 450W amp.

I have heard they aren't that great of a company, not quality etc...

Can someone tell me if that's good or if i should get something else.

My price range is like $300-$550

I would absolutly love tubes, but they above line explains why that's not an option.

Thanks... :bassist:

Used would go a long way....New....G.C.'S Acoustic B200H head..$249.00....Acoustic 410H cab..$299.00....Acoustic 115H cab..$199.00.
I know it's above what your limit was but this would be a full stack, it'd keep up with those two guitarist.
A full stack for $747.00 plus tax!

If you guys buy a PA, I bet anything the system will not even support your bass sounds. A decent PA is two 18's, and two all-range 15's, with: compressors, mixer, vocal effects, 32 band EQ's, and tons of cables. That's a lot of gear for a decent system to support everyone. If the PA is just for vocals, concentrate on getting a bigger bass rig.

Behringer gets a bad name because of their practices and overall company goals......the gear is really not bad performance wise.

Definitely look towards used gear, you can get something a whole lot better for less. Focus on getting 500 watt head or more through a good 410 and you will be able to keep up with the guitarists.
