Amp into DI?

Hey guys, been a while since I posted, but I have a question. I've been saving up to get one of those microheads. Like a Genz Benz, Markbass, or David Eden, and I want to know how I could also use the amp for recording? I would assume you could plug it into an Mbox like you do a Kemper or Axe FX.
Any advice or a chart or something would be nice.
Thanks. :)

Say I got the TC Electronic Classic450, would I just plug in a TRS cable into the speaker out and then the instrument input in the Mbox?
Or get an XLR/TRS cable, plug the XLR into the Line Drive out and the TRS into the instrument input?

You would go from the line drive out into the instrument input. I have a MarkBass LM III and it works great for DI recording. It also has a separate line out knob as well as the capability to go pre or post EQ which is real nice.
