Amp output and cab power, dumb question

I have an GK MB800 and NEO212 (just arrived today!) the NEO cab is 600w and I would like to add my old Yorkville single 15" cab for some support. My concern is that it is only rated at 250 watts. Will I instantly blow the 15 when I turn it up for rehearsal?

First, are they both 8 ohm cabs? If not, stop. If yes, then it's not going to blow up instantly. ;) Just listen to that cab while playing, and if it starts to fart or buzz, turn down your volume until the noise ceases.
