Amp Repair in NJ

Well, I dropped off my Hartke at Dave's and he is backlogged with repairs. Looks like mid July before I get it (July 4th holiday is throwing him off) I'm in no hurry as I am rehearsing at a private studio and have access to a rig. Dave is a nice guy and when it's repaired, it's repaired. No biggie. I'll let everyone know how it goes. Thanks again.

2 out of 2 people that went to Hyway had their stuff broken or incorrectly repaired. I wouldn't go there. I also vote for Central Jersey Music, but they're kinda far from you and others have already suggested closer places.

+1 for Andy Fuchs and his team at Fuchs Audio Technology | Handcrafted Tube Boutique Guitar Amplification | Plush Pedals | Home
Couple weeks ago I found a backline rental place going out of business and bought a couple of Goliath III cabs and a GK800RB. Got them very cheap as there were problems with all of them...like not working. Andy figured out exactly what was wrong and had them back to me, sounding great, in a couple of days at a great price. Honest, competent and nice to work with. I am so happy I am bringing him my Low End True Voice for a little tweaking.

Btwn Fuchs Audio in Clifton, and Triple S in Bloomfield , who would you guys take an old Bassman 100 to for repairs?

There's few reviews that I can find.

Thanks

Fuchs, I had some less than stellar experiences with triple s. I've never met Andy but know a few people who love his work. I have recorded his amps before and they are fantastic.

Try Russ Crapella in Totowa though, I love Russ. Sadly he works out of Robbie's now on Mondays and Fridays since moving from his old house, (as well as DBm in NYC the other weekdays), but Russ is great.

Thanks for the info. I figured Fuchs would be the people's choice. I see he builds his own line and from my email I can tell he's passionate about what he does.

It's disappointing to hear you had a bad experience at triple s b/c it's so close I could walk there if I had to.
