Amp tone great, house tone 'boomy'... Fix?

For church and recording sound... you also commonly have to ignore what you hear with your head in the cabinet...

Get a DI and set the EQ mid room via wireless.

IF you have a good band... and a good sound crew... and good management, you can then spectrum slot with the band and then dial yourself into the mix.

I can't tell you the number of churches I've walked into that had bass drum, left hand keys and bass all clammoring for the same real estate......

Then combine this with hard surfaces... many corners... untrained people... poorly installed gear... and so on.
