Double Bass Amp Upgrade

Hi
I'm not very experienced in this subject but this is what I've learned thru time:
Virtually any amp will handle a low B.
The question is if the speaker can reproduce it well or not.
Although there are actually plenty of lightweight cabs that can handle a low E perfectly, most loose punch and power below that.
The only speaker that really amazed me with a 6 string is the PJB 4B, although it's small and powerful, it may not be as light as you wish, but I've found out that you can't get really low without weigh, I believe the quality/price relation to be very good to.
I've read very good reviews about ACME speakers but never got the chance to try or hear one.
There are more experienced members in this forum though...
Best regards

My Hartke rig tends to handle my low B quite well, and sounds phenomenal in general. Try the HyDrive (hybrid driver) series-they're very light and really great sounding. The cones are half aluminum, half paper.
