Amp vs modeling rig

Hello my friends ,Actually summer is coming and I am planning to attend to music collage program which is so far from my house .
They will give me small room for the time that I will be there (4 months ).
I was talking to the mentor who helped me signed for them programme and he gave me some information about the situation there .
Well I can carry my bass with myself but my amp must stay home because hard transportation.
Do to lack of car (at least for first month ), I have to think about a new amp rig that I can buy there .
Well my options are
Buy fender rumble 200 +2x10 cab which is a good poweful rig if I wanna be active outside of the collage

Or

Buy a fender rumble 40 for have amp in hand and buy fractal audio FM3 which I can use as audio interface and amp modelr and pedals and .....


Well the fx fm3 kind is looking shinny and well very easy to transport with a lot of access to different amp .

I'm stuck because I don't know even will I have an outside gig there or not .I mean why do I need a big amp without car if I don't have a gig!

In other hand I hate loud sounds ,in my current band I use rumble 100 and I prefer keep sound as low as possible and usually use ear protector that reduce sound 15db.

So I wanna know your idea about go with
FENDER RUMBLE 200+ CAB

OR

FRACTIAL STUDIO AX FM3 +RUMBLE 40





* is there any other option like active sepeaker which I can use with FM3 that sounds good like small amp ?

Just a heads up, there's a massive backlog of orders on the FM3. I doubt, unless you're already on the wait list, that you will get it in time for Summer.

Actually I saw few available in my region and there are helix Lt available too and kamper .

If you get the Fractal Audio FM3, any decent powered pa speaker will sound great depending on the volume you require. Many use a QSC K12. I have a powered Carvin PM12A that works fine for practice. My loud band I use my fEARful 1515/66/1 & a power amp. I was told I was looking at 3 months minimum wait for the FM3.

Get a small powered PA cab for the Fractal
Everywhere you go you'll find a FOH DI for you to plug into if you need more volume.
Or a DI for recording to plug the Fractal into.

I have zero experience with the Fractal Audio device, but given that it comes from a well known and loved player, I just assume that it is halfway decent. And halfway decent is enough. I personally often use my Headrush Gigboard at home. I have a nice amp setup sitting there (two barefaced cabs with either an Aguilar Tonehammer or an Ampeg PF 50-T tube amp, plus quite a few boutique pedals), but I also have the Gigboard and a powered 12" PA monitor wedge (nothing cheap, nothing fancy). What is the big advantage of the Gigboard? Well, when I want the sound of a cranked SVT with both the master and the gain dimed and the cab on the brink of farting out, I can dial that in on the Headrush and send that signal to the wedge. The master volume will take care of how loud that will be. I can play at reasonable volume levels without disturbing neighbours.
Should I try and get that vibe on the analog way, I'd need to crank my tube amp - but this will not bring my cabs to the brink of farting out, while making the windows rattle two rooms down the hall.

They're being sold at or above MSRP and wont have the Fractal warranty. However I'm quite the fan of Fractal gear and would tell you to get it.
