Ampeg 450H with Acoustic Neo's

I am running an Ampeg 450H with the Acoustic brand 210 NEO cab and the 115 NEO cab. I am playing a 2005 Fender American 5 string Jazz Deluxe. For some reason it seems like the cab will lose low end when playing hard. If i stop, turn down the bass, and play lighter it seems like the low end kicks back in. Is this something with the limiter? The cabs shouldnt have a problem being pushed by the head from what I understand.. Although, I'm not sure if it was faulty from the beginning or not, but the tweeter farts like crazy on the 210. The 115's tweeter is glorious and have never had a problem, luckily you can turn the one off on the 210. ALSO... from time to time I start getting some distortion when I am playing at about halfway up on the volume dial and the gain isnt all that high up either.. It doesnt seem like I am getting the power I need with the pad.. I have thought about getting an SVT 3 Pro in hopes that my problems are the head.. any ideas or conversation is encouraged and welcome. Thanks

The "Acoustic" brand cabs from GC, MF are entry level gear that are the "house brand". The trouble you could be having is power compression from the speaker cabs. A more powerful amp head will only make this worse. Have you tried each cab on its own? If they sound more full when not used together then one is miss-built.

If you are using 1/4" phone plugs, connect both cabinets together and using a 9V battery touch the positive of the battery to the tip of the plug that usually goes into your amp. The negative to the plug's sleeve. Usually all the cone should move out away from the basket. If all move in that's OK too. If one set moves in and the other moves out you have a problem that needs to be rectified.

I dont know if I would say they sound more 'full' alone but I dont feel like I get the distortion when playing harder.. I will try out the 9 volt trick when I get home. What is that checking and what could be the fix? Maybe it is just time to switch back to a 410.. I love the sound of this rig when it is working properly but when it comes to amps and cabs I am one that gets pretty tired of it if it doesnt just make the noise I want it to make/it is supposed to make...

Don't take offense to this please, but if you are just a plug and play kind of person trying to use budget cabs with a pro amp head is the wrong way to go?
Don't fall for the blatant marketing BS. Acoustic Control Corp. started in 1967 and was out of business for several decades. The Acoustic you bought only uses the name and color scheme and has no relation to the Acoustic of 1967.
Can you make it work well for you, probably can, but it may require some effort.

No offense taken at all! I fully know the differance in todays Acoustic brand to the good ole Jaco setup Acoustic of the 60's and 70's.. The thing that got me was how good they sounded at lower volumes and the fact that they had the neodymium speakers in em. I am currently debating on trading in the Acoustic cabs and getting an Ampeg BSE410 or for a couple extra hundred getting the NEO 410 Ampeg has.. Any thoughts on either of those?
