hey guys i have an slm 810 cab and honestly the highs just really arent there. jimmym posted a thread a few days ago on the differences between the slm 810 and the loud 810 and the results were that the loud sounded much brighter and cleaner.

would you buy a new loud cab? do you see any drawbacks to doing this?

the only drawback is the countless used 810's you can get for $300-400

There's no drawback to buying another cab unless you're running out of room to put your cabs

I'd say, if you've got the bucks, go for it. I never experienced a problem with the LOUD cabs personally, just their amps.

lol well id be selling my slm cab and looking for a loud cab used. so i think im gonna give it a shot

Why don't you build a midrange box and set it on top? Simple crossover mounted in it and away you go?

I have all those 810's both SLM and Loud. Since you already own the SLM, I don't think its worth scraping and rebuying.
