Ampeg 8x10 and GK800RB no sound

Kind of a noob when it come to amps and cabinets.
Hey guys, first post here because i cannot figure this out. I have an ampeg 8x10 at 4 ohms and the GK 800RB amp. I am plugging the speaker into the 300w at 4 ohms end of the amp and am only getting a slight distorted sound when i crank the master and 300w volumes way up. Other than that i am not getting any sound. Am i missing something? Cabinet works fine with other amps. Checked the amp as well and the amp functions fine.

Any ideas?

The 800RB has two output sections for bi-amping. When engaged, the signal goes through a crossover, sending the higher frequencies to a 100-watt amplifier (minimum 8 ohms), and the lower frequencies to a 300-watt amplifier (minimum 4 ohms). This isn't applicable to your cabinet.

Do not connect your 810 to the high-frequency output (SPKR HI) as it isn't made for the 4 ohms load, only use the SPEAKERS LO output. Connect to the Mono input of the cabinet. Make sure that you use a speaker cable and not an instrument cable. It makes a big difference, even though they might look the same from the outside

Make sure that the crossover button is set to FULL and not BI-AMP.
