I am 100% happy with my PF-50t for the past few years. No problems whatsoever and the transformer fed DI is awesome for FOH.

I also love my PF800 and haven't had a lick of trouble either . In fact I got the PF800 as a replacement for the SVLCL pre and Crown I recommended in my previous post . Fot sure it's not quite the same but it sounds great and has plenty of power for whatever cabs I use . The OP has had trouble with the ones he has had so he probably should look somewhere else .
Just came across this thread because I have the same problem. My Ampeg PF-500 stopped working in the middle of rehearsal twice, so I bought a PF-800 because I heard they solved the problems. That shut down on my last night right at the start of our NYE gig. As much as I love the sound, I'm done with Ampeg, I just don't trust them any more and neither does the rest of my band. What did you go with OP?
