I like the Ampeg tone and the portability of the PF series, but I'm on my third replacement head for the PF800 now, and I've had enough. Besides my issues with them cutting out, there are many others on here who have found the "quality" lacking.
I have the PF800 and two PF115he cabs. All sounds awesome until it gets up to 12 o'clock, then the "mud" shows up (or the head cuts out). What would be the most portable and "quality" Ampeg rig similar to this? I need to go up stairs regularly, so no 810 for me. Maybe SVT 410s would be better for tone at louder volumes. I probably want to stay away from the Pro7 as well, since I've also read many issues with those.
Where's the quality and portability at?
Thanks!
