I play either an SVT Classic or an SVT-AV Classic. I played through a VR a few times and can not get into the tone.
A good buddy of mind has one and swapped the tubes for 53 NOS's and it sounds great with his 59 RI P. The band he plays in is very 60's/70's rock inspired and the tone makes sense for it. On the contrary, I play indie/pop/rock and it did not work for me.
