This is my first post, uh, nice to be here, looking to pick up a lot from you guys.
So, about three months ago, I picked up an Ampeg B Series 200 watt cabinet and paired it with a 200 watt Hartke head. Within this three month span, I've played house parties, a couple other gigs, and just messed with it overall. A few weeks back, the speaker blows out and I need to get it replaced. The electronics were funky and it decided to die. Now I'm in a predicament.
I took the cabinet to Rochester for warranty service and well, the sticker had gotten so marred that it was pretty much off/no discernible way of getting the number or code. So, without that, they would have to charge me 100 bucks to get it taken care of. I find it hard to believe that Ampeg would be so inept as to leave the entirety of something as important as a serial number to glue and paper. Anyone know where else I could find it? The plug in jack plate has just that... jack. I've done everything but fully disassemble the cabinet to find the number. If anyone else has been down this road and can help me out of this toilet of suck it'd be much appreciated.
Kind of desperate to rectify this whole 400 + dollars worth of box and carpet sitting around right now to something useful and totally awesome again.
