Is there any place I can get *empty* B15N transformer cans like these? (or maybe someone has got the fried - or working - PT/OT, I would be interested)...

What's one worth? I have a fried OT. Was thinking of having it re-worked but there is only $30 difference in the price of a new on to do it. I've found some close on Ebay that I put on my PF50t to make it look retro.
That's interesting...a pic of that 50T would be cool if you get a chance in the NF.
Perhaps some background. The purpose of the B-15 transformer can is to shield the amp from stray transformer fields which can make the amp quieter, and being potted, helps wick away heat.
Potting is performed under negative pressure to remove air bubbles and avoid hot spots around the transformer and in the potting compound. The compound penetrates into the transformer somewhat. It has to be done properly. For this reason, transformer manufacturers such as Hammond do not recommend potting of their open frame transformers.
In general, putting a can over an unpotted transformer will affect airflow and can restrict cooling. This could eventually damage the transformer. If a transformer doesn’t run hot, there shouldn’t be any problem placing a can over it.

Yea, Thought about the transformers and heat, I left the amp on by chance overnight and they were both cool. All I did was take double sided automotive trim tape and a 3/4 block of wood inside the cans. Worked out perfect!
