Well i've decided to go with a 4x10 for that extra punch, but now im stick between these two cabs. The B410HLF is alot lighter, but how do they really stack against each other? Which do u guys believe is the better cab, and do u think the extra 40lb's of the SVT410 are really worth it when compared to its B counter part?

Ampeg B410HLF vs. Ampeg SVT410HLF

I've never played the B410HLF, but I can tell you the the SVT410HLF sounds absolutely amazing, it gets such ridiculously deep bass response I don't know what to do with it all. However, I'm selling mine because of how heavy it is, it weighs almost as much as I do!

+1 ... I'm currently using the 410HLF and it is truly amazing, I don't see any reason for me to ever get another cab. Smooth, deep lows, clear mids and highs...and I also think it looks cooler than the B410HLF

The B Series Cabs are not bad at all, but they are all basically budget player gear. Spend the extra money and get the SVT 410hlf, very much worth it. You can find them used for $500 in great condition at www.basscentral.com. I got two of them from their store - they work perfectly and are in great condition.
Tons of bass, clear AND punchy midrange, great high end, and they are loud! I am glad I sold my 810e.

If you can, try the PR-410HLF. It's IMO the best 410 Ampeg makes as well as the most expensive and heaviest at 128 lbs. The sound is worth the bucks and hernia. 
I'm trying to make the same decision myself. One difference I noticed is the B410 speakers have 3"voice coils vs 2" voice coils in the SVT410.
I heard a bigger voice coil gives more sensitivity and wider frequency response, though the B410 is 100 watts less at 400 to the SVT 500.
I think the weight might be the deciding factor for me.

I think that video comparison is skewed towards the SVT because its on the ground for one thing..the B is upside down onto of the road case for the head??? How is that "grounding" out the bass sound to something concrete like a floor..And the volumes are completely different. It's actually like a goddamn propaganda film for the SVT...Lol I ordered the B410hlf off of guitar center because I needed a cheaper large cab for Stoner doom metal bass so I really don't need all the little nuances of the fancy models. Just some low end thump and good volume and I will be happy!!
