I'd still replace the CD pot. They're not expensive, and even if you only use it once in the next couple years, you're going to be annoyed that it doesn't work

Note that in probably 99% of the time, there will be no visually burned or obviously failed parts.

I am amazed that folks who know little to nothing about electronics assume that they can repair electronics by "replacing a couple of parts" without understanding what the parts actually do.

...and that applies to pretty much everything in life...

I would take mine apart again (I have the same model 108), but it's not fun to do so.

EDIT: Changed my mind again. I don't have to know THAT bad. Mine's fine. Would rather keep it that way.

Yes , i will pick up another pot and replace it . Just good to have it up and running .

Yes , all the pots ,volume ,treble,mid,bass and CD are the same value.
