Ampeg BA-108 Wont Work

I have received an Ampeg Ba-108 amp for my bass. I was very exited and wanted to start right away. so I plugged the cable into the amp, then into my outlet. This is a brand new amp, never used. I flipped the switch and it would not turn on. What should I do?

First, plug something else into the outlet to make sure it's live. Next, see if the amp has a fuse (in the manual) and replace it. Next, bring it back to wherever you got it from.

The outlet works. ill check the fuse.

You could also borrow an AC cord from a computer just in case the power cord is bad.

I put a wire from my old amp into the new Ampeg and still, no power..

Time for a warranty replacement, sorry. Contact the people you bought it from.

Where did you get it from? Was it brand new? If so, bring your receipt to the store for an exchange.

Yeah,,,its brand new. Im probably going to get an exchange,,,but any other advice will still be accepted.

LOL! I do have to point out that hitting it with a hammer will void the warranty

Anyway, take it back and get another one.

How do you know? Did you check it for continuity? Believe me, looks can be deceiving.

Modern ampeg seems to sound good but has a throw away business model. It is really sad

^If there was the case, they would have gone under by now. They almost have before when things went bad.

How about I say all Ford Focus are bad because my buddy owned a lemon? (That really was pretty sad though.)
