I already posted this on the bass guitar side, and it was suggested that I post it here as well, yes.
I've inherited my Grandfather's Baby Bass and I'm trying to figure out when it was manufactured, model #, etc. Other than the gold Ampeg logo stamp on the front of the scroll, I can find no other identifying marks on it except for what I think is a serial number stamped in the tailpiece. The number is 000623. I contacted the company that owns Ampeg now, and their best advice was to run it through the TalkBass community. I saw an Ampeg serial number guide in one of the forums here, but I think it may only be for amps and related electronic components. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
