ampeg cab material

Ampegs web site says their SVT cabs are made out of plywood. I've heard it's particle board, or something other than plywood. I can't get anyone at LOUD, what's the scoop?

i just ripped the tolex off my SVT 215E and recovered, sure looks like partical board to me
