Ampeg Cabinet Comparison

I am looking at getting between the Ampeg 8x10E ($1000) and the Ampeg 8x10HPC for ($1500.)

This is to go with an SVT 4 Pro head.
I was wondering tone wise and power what would be the best cabinet to get and would the HPC be worth the extra $500?
