Ampeg Combo Amp Question

Please bear with my naivete on this subject, but I have a question. I have an Ampeg 210 watt combo amp. Can I use it's 'balanced line out' to connect to another speaker cabinet? Also, would I need some kind of amplifier between my combo and any cabinet I connected? This amp doesn't have any kind of "line out" other than the "balanced line out" (XLR).

The XLR out is meant to plug into a recording device, a PA mixer, or the input of another amp (you'll need a $20 Radio Shack XLR-to-1/4" transformer for it, but you can do it). Never use it to try to power a speaker.

Sounds like you have one of the BA combos. For the most part, they're made to deliver their full wattage at 4 ohms into the combo cab. That means they can use a lighter amp and keep the cost at a price most folks can afford. But it also means that you can't add an extension cab to it. Sorry.
