Dude, used american svt II and 810. learn how to change tubes. usually the most you will change is caps and power tubes.

Go for the full 300 watts, otherwise you'll still be wondering if you made the right choice.
When it comes to cabs, the fridge is the obvious companion to that amp, but it might be overkill for your needs. The 410he is basically half an 810, but at 8 ohm they're not a good match for the SVT.
That leaves the 410HLF or the 610HLF. Personally, I'd go with the 610 for two reasons: It's not as boomy as the 410 and it's actually easier to haul around thanks to the tug bar and the wheels (just like the 810).

my wife knows this passion. Last week she came to me with budget for making real my ampeg tubby dream. She always support my bass journey so She create 2000k euros budget for my tube dream.
You can imagine, how happy I were when I heared. And after I started to research(thomann, I live in europe) svt cl, svt v4b etc. I read lots of thing in talkbass(tube watt, ss watt etc)
I play heavy metal, hard rock and I have gig rarely, stages are mostly midium sized or small. I play with two loud guitarist and loud baterist( yeaa heavy metal) first problem is watt problem, I wanna buy SVT Cl or Used SVT VR but These are heavy and maybe more powerful for many stages? SVT v4-b 100w and lighter, it looks perfect for me but I am confused for medium sized gigs. Is it enough? Also i am confused which cab fits? Neo cabs seems perfect but svt cabs are tradation. I am tiny guy(55kg) this is why weight is much more important for me.
Btw I have Markbass 121h combo at home, maybe best way is buying extension to my combo and make it 2x12. But I am heavy metal bassist and I wanna tube dirt... I have never played a tube amp yet but I want it
What do you suggest:
A-) 100w svt v4 is enough for you, If not PA will be there.
B-) buy 300w CL or VR, you wont need another amp until you are death.
C-) Buy extension to your combo, add dirt with pedals(I have tech21 bddi). You are tiny and be light. You can save lots of money and buy another things.
D-) buy darkglass microtube 900 and 4x10 neo, be light and dirt. Miss tube chance.

I've used the SVT CL amp for years, and I would like to recommend a road case with wheels. This will keep it from getting banged up, breaking the knobs on the front, and during cold weather ease the transition between a hot amp and a cold environment. Glass does not like to be shocked with temp extremes, and that's what you get going from a warm house to a cold car, and a hot stage to a cold car. Just a thought.

Go big or go portable.
Go big: Get the Ampeg SVT and the 410HLF cab like @JGbassman setup. That's a nice compromise. Some guys say that the 810 is easier to move around because of the handles and big truck wheels.
Since you are a smaller gent, get the second Markbass cab. The MB112 combos are incredible for their size, regardless of what others say. I've used them in medium rooms with loud drummers and sounded great.

On the other hand, now that I think about it, I'm going to recommend the full Ampeg stack. When I was young, I had the privilege and luxury of owning an SVT/810. I loved it. Now for my gigs and portability it's no longer practical. But if you're playing loud, own the SVT/810 for one time in your life. When you're older you won't be able to haul it around like you used to.

I'd go with the 810 cab whether you decide on an SVT or V4B. Even the V4B through the 810 puts out a lot of volume! I gigged a V4B/SVT810 for about 10 years back in the mid 70s - mid 80s. Did a lot of medium size club gigs with that rig without even going through FOH.

Get the big one, chances are you'll never have to push it to distortion (the pain will stop you). Your pedals will give you the dirt you need. It's an awesome amp, I loved mine. I don't even gig anymore and I wish I had one.
If driven to the point of clipping into the same speaker(s) and the wattage ratings are honest, the difference between the two amps will only be 4.8dB. While audible this is not a huge amount. To be twice as loud to your ears, the wattage needs to increase by a factor of 10, not 3.
Personally, if I was making a once in a lifetime purchase I would wait, save the extra money and get the SVT.

I just bought an SVT-CL and 810E, found a great deal used on local craigslist. Both are in flight cases. Both! The head weighs 95 pounds without the case. The cabinet would barely fit in my buddies truck. Truck! I don't have a truck. The cabinet is going to stay where it is (in a rehearsal space) for a long time. If you don't have a truck, don't buy the 810. I may buy a 410HLF just to have a portable cab when I decide to lug that delicious creamy tube head out. Now I'm hungry.

You can also check Monique preamp and the M700 by Jule. I know It ain't an Ampeg and it's not an all tube head, but it's close enough and you have much power.
Get the tube SVT and 8 x 10, don't let people scare you about the volume or the weight, I'm 64 and 5' 5" and have been using them for 41 years and they have a volume control and sound good soft too, they are a lifetime amp, buy one you will never need nor probably want anything else (unless it's another SVT), guitar players are crybabies when it comes to bass players' bringing in an amp which has the potential to upstage them, don't listen, one time I had a guitar player say I was too loud before I turned it on
The two wheeler is a great idea for the head, they are harder to lug around then an 8 x 10 which are easier to lug around than a 4 x 10.
