Ampeg Heritage 810 NEW FREE DELIVERY....$777

I just saw this thread a minute ago for the first time, and noticed, like you guys said, that it's back up to $1300. Just like the Amazon deals thread, I always see the deals after the prices have hiked back up. I know you said you watched it for over a week, but besides this instance, if it's not something specific that you're on the hunt for, how do you find these great price reductions on Amazon? I ask because I'm cabinet hunting at the moment, and have been looking at the used market, but at prices like that $777 Heritage 810, perhaps I should scour Amazon for deals. Any pointers?

Actually it ended ip at $757.11, I only came upon it because I have been drooling over the Heritage SVTCL amp for over a year and have bought and sold half a dozen heads not willing to put out $2399 for something assembled in USA with probably the same components as the made in China version. But that's another discussion. So the week before Christmas I noticed a small price drop on the amp and as the week progressed it keep coming down. Then a couple days after Christmas the 8x10 cab started doing the same thing. I assume it is just end of the year trying to thin inventory. I have heard of Aguilar Cabs being reduced at times as well. My son found a Taylor left handed guitar that sells for $899.00 and he got it for $500. I guess you just have to search, sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Hey man, they upgraded your Micro VR double stack to a PF double stack. How about a little more love? ;)

They took care of me, for sure. I can still call them out :D

No I still post in the threads people asking about the gear in only positive way EXCEPT for the B2R and SVT350H (horrid amps).

But as stated above, that's car saleman tactics and a product of Loud marketing. Regardless of how shady Loud is and I don't agree with how they handle things, the Ampeg team has their head on straight.

Did they ever REALLY fix the farting out Micro VR head in production or just swept it under the carpet? I never got a final answer, they basically gave me hush money (upgraded my setup for free).

I imagine they have by now but I haven't been able to try it yet.

Hush money, eh? Well I'm sure they're quite happy to have upgraded you with all the great publicity you've given them on here ;)

I find that a good thing to do is watch Guitar Center's used and special section. Regardless of the controversey that surrounds Guitar Center with musicians, you can find some outrageous deals on the used page: http://used.guitarcenter.com/usedGear/index.cfm

My guitarist has gotten some just plain stoopid deals on there. After he scored like his third Charvel San Dimas at a killer price, I started paying attention to the Guitar Center website a lot more. *lol*

When Aguilar was discontinuing thier S series cabs (the cabs they made before introducing the DB series), the price on those particuaraly cabs went down quite a bit. I think they used to retail for around seven bills. I ended up buying two S410s from Musiciansfriend for like $425 each, including S&H. That was in early 2006. I've bought and sold a few cabs since then, but those Aguilars are still my primary gigging cabinets. They just sound great, are rugged, completely reliable, and don't fart out. ...they're heavy as sin, though. :bawl:

They made 400 or more.
You're talking cabs, Spencer is talking heads. They made twice as many cabs as heads. So to straighten this out, they said that they were making a limited run of whatever heads and cabs for 2010, and if those sold in a reasonable amount of time, they would make more. Those sold, so they made more. They never once said that they were only going to make one run and stop it completely. Allen, I don't know why you're so angry they made more...that was the plan all along and everyone knew it.

Mine was waiting on the doorstep when I got home from work last night. I was a little concerned since the box was slightly damaged, but no damage to the cab. I should have a chance to plug it in tonight and do an A/B/C test with my other 810's. My other 810's will likely be hitting Craigslist soon.

It is noticeably lighter than my other 810's and much better looking too :bassist:
