Have I got a cab for you.
Click> Bass Cabinets Archives - Genzler Amplification
These ARE MADE for BASS. Available in a single 10, 12, 15, two 10's or four 10's all with the Linearray taking care of the mids and highs while the woofer booms the bass. These will keep your sound on axis almost anywhere.
Use a single box or stack them. Makes a neat arc when stacked. :wideyed: :jawdrop: :smug:

:cigar:

i gassed over these for awhile, until i realized I'm not a modern bass sound guy and while a super neat idea, these would do a disservice to the kind of mid-focused tone i dig. so i took a deep dive into 70s acoustic control corp stuff

but man are these cool....

View attachment 3679682 This looks like a really cool bass cab to take to a gig.

A "more modern" approach.

.................

Oh and by the way, some of the so called Real Bass Cabs I find Boring ..... I think this Isovent is an UnUsual Design and I am having fun with it.

Ah, I get it now - Function follows form.

This thread highlights the difference between fact and opinion.
Darn! As I was reading this I was expecting "This thread highlights the difference between fact and fiction". :D

He's trying to make a boat fly;)
So, kind of like a reverse Sproose Goose? :smug:

@Nicholas Orick
Due to the Commercial User Policy, @agedhorse is probably not allowed to toot his own horn, but beyond the experience that he's already shared in this thread, he's also designed amps and cabs with Mesa Boogie and Genz Benz just to name a few. I'm thankful every day for the knowledge and expertise he tirelessly shares here, for free. He's an invaluable technical resource with decades of experience in exactly this field, and simply doesn't give bad advice. Period.

Are you judging them by looks an driver config? Or by actual performance?

I'm not dogging their product. i love the concept
i generally play through guitar or organ speakers with a ton of fuzz and midrange. not something modern stuff shoots for
I dig.
I just sold one of these to a kid in an Art Noise band for his bass and synth. Not a modern cab :)
But works better IMHO than the isovent.
