Ampeg Micro-VR 200W Bass Amp Head reviews

As i said before the difference is 'Mosfet'
It is still a wonder to me that nobody on TB (until now) seems too notice.
For me it was clear within a minute when i auditioned both amps.
Agreed - I can't believe there isn't more mosfet stuff out there - especially for bass. It's the ideal compromise between regular SS (light, reliable and cheap - relative to tubes and more efficient reproducing low freqs - relative to tubes) and tubes ("warmer"/more pleasant harmonics - relative to regular SS).
If the amp companies hadn't spent so much time flogging tube mythology (tubes ARE all the things they say they are) and spent a little more time developing good SS/mosfet it would be a whole lot better world - the problems in the middle east would be resolved, Ebola wouldn't be ravaging Wester Africa, inequality wouldn't be increasing in the developed world, Myley would still wear clothes...
