Ampeg PF-350 + 2 ampeg svt210av cabs. Anyone tried?

Yes, I know, but Ampeg dealer in a city not far away from me, offered me to trade my Micro VR for PF 350, and I think it gonna be much easier for me to accept that deal, and have PF-350 in two weeks, than wait to Micro VR get fixed, and shipped, e.t.c. Though, I like VR sound, I think there is no big difference between these two.

I haven't had the chance to directly AB them in the same cab, but based on my impressions of the PF350, I'd say the only difference is the PF350 has 150w more in the tank. It's class D whereas the Micro VR is class AB, but quite honestly, I didn't notice anything that made me think they were different sounding.

I pulled the trigger on this rig over the weekend. I want to thank Jimmy M and others who responded while I trolled for answers. I went through ZZounds. They beat the Guitar Center price and split it over 4 months. The total was $730 and I still get the $50 rebate. Can't complain about $680 for a new rig. I struggled when it came to picking cabs. I own a B100R as well as Linden and SFT pedals. I have the B15 is sound covered. Now I have the SVT. Can't wait to break them in.

Worked great, and one of the best live sounds I have ever had. Of course, I can say that about any Ampeg rig I've ever owned ;)

Oh sure, I've got plans. Just no money for it. But honestly, their working stiff rigs are working so well for me that I'm not complaining. Already owning an SVT and B-15 helps get me over the pain, too ;)

Thanks! I've actually got 4 PJ's now. Two actual Fenders, an SX, and a parts bass. But for some reason, the white P Lyte keeps calling at me to play it, even though I hate the look ;) It's just so easy to play and light that it's hard to resist. But that bass was the first good bass I've ever owned and I bought it new, so I'm trying to work it back in. Only things original on it anymore are the body and neck plate, though, but it still rocks pretty hard.

Well the PF350 is 200w at 8 ohms, so there's possibility of blowing the cabs, but for light medium duty cabs, they're pretty hardcore. Just remember that if they sound like they might blow up, it's a distinct possibility. Other than that, you'll be fine with it.

Q for you guys.

If you run the PF350 at 4 ohms (2 8 ohm cabs), the wattage will be 350. But the cabs are 200w each, so is the wattage output split between the two cabs? How does that work?

I have the PF350 and I'm researching which cab(s) to put under it. I currently have an Acoustic B115 but I don't like the way the PF-350 sounds through it.

How does the 2 AV cabs compare sonically with 2 PF-115s or 2 PF-210s?
