I just purchased a Ampeg PF-500 Portaflex head, and I'm looking for a cab to pair with it, but I'm a bit confused about the impedance. The Reverb listing lists the impedance as 8 or 4 ohms, so I looked up the manual and it just confused me further. It says,

Does this mean I can use either an 8 or a 4 ohm cab? I was looking at a Peavy 410 (an 8 ohm cab) I saw for cheap; even if it maxes out at 300 watts that should be more than enough for small gigs and the like, so as long as it's safe that's enough for me."The rated power output of the PF-500 is 300 watts rms into 8 ohms or 500 watts rms into 4 ohms. The two outputs are wired in parallel, and you can use either one, or use both. Make sure the total speaker impedance load is 4 ohms or greater. For example, you could connect: Two 16 ohm speakers (an 8 ohm load), two 8 ohm speakers (a 4 ohm load) or one 4 ohm speaker.
