Ampeg PF cab advice

Hi all :) first time poster here (also pretty inexperienced)

So I'm looking at expanding my rig. I currently have an Ampeg PF 500 with a single PF 210HE.
I was thinking the best way to expand it would be to just add another PF 210HE cab.
But then I was looking at prices of a PH 410HLF and there's not much of a price difference (at least where I'm from)

Is there any benefit of having two 210HE's over the 410HLF or did I make a mistake of buying a 210HE when the 410HLF is the much cheaper option?
Should I just sell my 210HE and go for the 410HLF?

If you like the 210HE adding another will make a massive difference to your sound and get the full 500 watts out of you head - I had two 115HE's for a while with a PF800 - 1 was good, 2 was waaaaay better

Selling the 210 and adding 410 is the cheaper option of course. However that cab is an 8 ohm cab so you'll only be pulling 350 watts or so out of your head - though you will not really notice a huge difference between 350 watts and 500.

So it really comes down to your needs - do you always need a 410? Or will a 210 suffice some of the time? Can you leave a 210 at the jam spot and one at home and combine them when you need to? A lot of guys like that modular setup

Personally, if you have the cash I would probably go that route. Full power from the head, a taller stack setup bringing the speakers closer to your ears and more options for smaller/quieter needs - if you have any.

However if you feel always need a 410 then why schlepp two cabinets when you can just move one plus you can save some cash.

Completely overlooked the fact that the 410hlf is an 8 ohm cab. Just assumed it was 4.
I also do prefer the sound of the 210's. I feel like it has more punch which is what I'm after.

Another thing to add to this, I also have a sansamp bass drive di and when I crank up the drive on it, I get a terrible distorted sound that sounds nothing like
the ones I have heard from others.

Will a second 210he help with this and allow me to crank up the drive and get a better distorted tone? (if that makes sense)

I am not sure, but I presume it won't make any difference.
But, maybe you can improve the sound:
First, I would try it with the gain on your amp set not too high (also the master).
This, so you know you're not overloading the head and/or cab.
Then tweak around: if you get a good sound, good.
If you don't, perhaps the sansamp isn't working properly or just isn't your thing.

cheers man!!

yeah guess i'll just have to fiddle around with the settings a bit more.

I do love the sounds of the sansamp and everything else seems to work
fine with it, just the drive gives me a terrible sound when I boost it.

One more question... When I add another cab, does this help shape my
tone in any way? Or just it just add Extra volume and not really effect
the tone
