PF-20t, but I say this as a hater of the classic Ampeg SVT sound, esp. the classic Ampeg SVT-speaker cabs. Never worked for me. But I like my Portaflex speaker cabinet and I like the PF-20.

Either micro stack. The vr is much nicer though. Di out, and expandable. But, both sound great.Hey all,
Last thoughts for the end of the year!
Which Ampeg would be a good practice amp. One that would be a good sounding ( I.E that classic SVT tone) amp.
Something that would be “house friendly”
Thanks in advance!
Phil
I'm interested in doing this, but all the power amps I've found are quite expensive (the only brand I know of is Crown). Do you know of any others that would be worth looking at up to say 300watts?YOu could also take a different approach. Instead of a combo, get one of the SVT/Ampeg tone stack pres/pedals, a speaker, and a power amp if needed. Or just get the pre and possibly use it to feed your computer or headphones.

Thanks - I'd never heard of those guys.I use the Baby Sumo. 300W.
picked up the BA108 after foolishly selling a beloved Polytone MiniTeeny Brute to a jazz guitarist, who two months later had it on Craigslist for $50 less than he paid for it; foolish pride wouldn't allow me buy it back, which I now regret.
I have the BA110v2 and love it. It's great for practice, recording, rehearsals and even low key gigs. I'm fussy and have no complaints about this amp.
