Ampeg SCR-DI issue (always distorted)

Hey, i have owned the Ampeg SCR-DI for a few years now and have always loved it.

Recently ive been having an issue with it distorting my clean tone.

The scrambler distortion is not on, and i am not running it on battery power. Any ideas??

Any changes that coincided with the change in distortion on cleans?

Switched Basses to something Active or with hotter pickups?

Any pedals in front of it that might be running your signal level up enough to overdrive the Ampeg?

Have you opened the back and tried switching the input pad switch?

Im not familiar with the internals of the board. Which part is this specially?
