Ampeg Shipping/Packing

Hi,

I just bought some used Ampeg cabinets in working order but they are in a different city to where I live. I am not going to drive to pick them up cause its too far so I was wondering are they sturdy enough to be shipped via courier without packing or should I get them packed? I bought an SVT-810E, SVT-215E, 410HE, 15HE. Thanks.

All those cabs will be serious $$ to ship. If I had to guess I wouldn't be suprised if it's $350-450 at least. that's alot of space and weight on the truck. Also the cost of getting them packed add another $100 minimum.

The 810 and probably the 215 will have to be shipped fright.
They are to big and heavy for a driver to put on the truck.
You are looking at a large shipping bill.

I would look into picking them up yourself, even if you have to take a bus there and rent a truck to drive them home.

Turns out Im not getting the 215E anymore. The HE cabs are light I already own both but need more. The 810 works out to be $60 from Sydney to Brisbane (I'm in Australia). By the way the courier service usually flies them from city to city and then a truck takes it to my doorstep. So its a freight/courier service. I will get it packed. Thanks for help.
