Hi guys,

Yes, I´ve used the search, and there seem to be very many threads on all things V4!

:smug:

Anyways...
As I´ve just been offered a very good condition SLM era (March 2005) V4BH, I´d appreciate your view regarding the build quality of V4BH´s manufactured at this time.

Why do I ask this?

Because LOUD purchased Ampeg from SLM in 2006.... - So, the deal was probably negotiated just around the time this actual amp was manufactured. And, we all know how the build quality of a product line can fluctuate from one situation to another... :help:

So, I just want to ask what´s the verdict on the build quality of V4BH´s manufactured by SLM in the USA at this time.

Thanks!

I asked a similar question about an SVT 6 Pro made just after the deal in Vietnam some years ago. According to a member here at the time, Gerald, who worked at Ampeg, quality was good at the end of SLM AND early on in the LOUD/Vietnam era. He said builders and engineers from St.Louis were over there training people. Even many of the chasis and boards were taken from the US factory over there.

But he was adamant about quality not taking a downturn at the end if SLM and beginning of LOUD. He said things were good to go.
