**AMPEG SVT 3 PRO QUESTION**

SO i got the svt 3 pro and I've been getting problems where the sound gets softer and softer by the end of the gig. I was wondering if anybody had the same problems...Is it the tubes? help me out. thanks

i think that's your ears playing tricks on you. fight the urge to turn up after you get a good mix.

I have that head and, while I think it's grossly over-rated in terms of wattage, I've never heard it quiet down over the course of a gig. Even a few weeks ago, a big club near me had bands ALL day. We were one of them. I agreed that the other bassists could use my rig. Well, it was fired up and pretty much pounded on nonstop from noon till 2:00AM. It didn't lose anything in terms of volume, punch, etc.

So, I'm gonna guess either there is something weird wrong with your particular head, OR your ears are playin' tricks.

what you are experiencing is tts or temporal threshold shifts
dont worry its natural its a good thing too for your mental state of mind and hearing

If anything, ampheads w/ tubes should get a little bit loader after a while... But since SVT3 is a hybrid, I don't know much. I think it's your ears... It's ok, my ears tell me Cs are same as Gs.

It's probably your ears betting used to the volume. It's kind-of like when you take a hot shower; you keep on turning it a little hotter once your body adjusts to the heat and it doesn't quite feel as hot anymore.
