Ampeg SVT-3 PRO vs. Eden WT series

Why did you get rid of it? Did you replace it with the B2R listed in your profile?

No, I need to update my profile. I sold the B2R also. I was in a situation I needed to downgrade and generate cash. Playing isn't currently bringing in money, so gear got put on the chopping block.

Currently I'm running a Firebass and Avatar B210. I may add the SB112 to that to get the full 700w.

Eventually though, I'll probably get an Eden Wt-550 and an Epi 210 UL.

I just started back playing the bass after 23 plus year. When I was in high school, I got caught up in Football and stop. Was never any good. Last year I started up again and went on a small spending spree. Well, I bought a Svt-3 Pro,Ampeg 4X10 cabinet. a Peveay 115, and two jazz bass guitars. Yes, I went over board.

After a year now, I just cannot get a nice sound out of the SVT-3. I prefer the Peveay 115. I use that in the church. I am neither an expert or professional, is the cabinet.

i'm an ampeg guy. i owned a 3 pro, i own a 4pro. i love the ampeg tone. i needed something bigger so after owning a 3 pro and trying a ton of different amps i went to the 4 pro. however, if i didn't get the 4 pro i would have bought an eden. either a nemesis or a wt. mainly because my friends john has a nemesis and his tone is awesome and the two studio's i go to both have eden heads. one is a wt, the other a highway man. it was the easiest amp to get a good tone out of. it was like i set it flat and it sounded great for an "all around" tone. could have used it for a ton of different situations. for hc though, i needed a little more bite so i turned on my sans amp and it was such a beautiful round tone. i honestly loved it and if it turns out that my main touring band doesn't get back together i am going to get one.
