So I'm looking for a new rig and want to spend less then 1200$ I am narrowing it down to the PF-500 Head but im not sure to have it with the SVT-410HLF or two PF-210HE. What are your guys opinions?

Ampeg SVT-410HLF vs two PF-210he

They will handle approx the same amount of power, and I favor the tone of the PF210he's over the SVT 410hlf, which goes way too low for my tastes. The PF210he goes low, but the 410hlf goes LOW!
I would also go for two 210's rated at 8 Ohms so you can use one or two, depending on the application. It's always good to have a choice.
I used to play through a 6x10 and some 1000w svt head at my best friends house and really liked the beefiness if it. But I do think the two 210 will be nice for more choice.
l'd go with the two PF-210HE for the portability and the sound. Used to own the SVT-410HLF and got rid of it (too heavy for a 4x10 and too much low end).
I use the 410he now. I used the 810e for over a decade which I still love just got tired of moving. I did briefly have an HLF. IMO the HLF is overly boomy. I tune pretty low and I found I prefer to have a tighter more focused cab than a cab with flubby low end. I also noticed that the HLFs boomy nature had an opposite effect on my XLR signal at shows. Because its so boomy sounding I would cut lows to get a sound I was happy with coming out of the cab, the result was a thinner signal in the PA. With the 410HE I tend to run lows flat or just barely boosted and my signal in the PA is nice and fat.
There is a lot of folks who will say the 410hlf is a boomy cab or that it's bad in a mix, but it's probably one of the most used 410s out there and is a great cab.
With that being said it depends on what you want from the cab. I have owned the pf210he cab and absolutely loathed it. The power handling was poor and it had a very baked in tone.
If you are looking at the PF line tho I think the PF 410hlf is worth a mention.
Again tho this is dependent on your tonal goals. The gents above me differ on what we think of the SVT 410hlf. I love it, it's a beast of a cab and you can make light of many a guitar player with it. It is designed for a specific purpose though.
If you are looking for a more midrange sounding cab that doesn't produce big deep low end then stay away from it.
The PF 410 to me is a great inbetween. I couldn't stand the pf210, but I really like the PF 410 and I love SVT 410hlf's. I have owned and gigged all three of these cabs. They are all great for what they were built for. Play each of them and decide which one is right for you.

Have you ruled out two of the PF115HE cabs? Might give you best of both worlds. A little lower than the PF210HE but not as low as the 410HLF.
Go with the 210's. Will give you better sound and flexibility. Better than lugging the 410 everywhere. THat thing in big and thick
If you like the "ampeg" sound and want something between the HLF and the 210he, take a look at the PF-115LF. It also happens to be less expensive. It is also my favorite cab Ampeg makes right now.
Who knows? I have a mesa 210 + 115 combo that is awesome. You'll need to try it out. This talkbass fear is a little too much gospel. There are plenty of great mixed driver systems. But there are more great sounding same driver systems. You have better odds with same cab extensions. 410 and 115 is usually a bad idea given the power distribution. 210 and 115 could be sweet. Could be less than stellar. A better rule would be if you are going to mix cabs then get a demo and don't buy blind.
Hi there I am using a svt410hlf I feel its lacking in mids and quite boomy, I'm thinking about getting a couple of pf115he's to replace it. I was wondering if the pf115's are any punchier? Do the mids come through? I love the sound of an 810he will it sound closer to that or closer to the hlf?
Given the choice I would go with the two 210s, if only for versatility. I do own a 410HLF which stays in our rehearsal space - I bought it cheap and initially I agreed with everyone else that it is overly boomy. However, after spending some time with it I have found it easy to eq a decent sound from the 410HLF, cutting lows a tad on the amp being the starting point. It certainly seems to go very loud and has a very extended range. It is also a sod of a thing to move around.
I have an opportunity to buy the 115's at a huge savings over the 210's at a 250 dollar price difference are the 210hes that different sounding?
Kinda. The pf115he goes lower than the 210, which imho is closer to the 810e.
