I bought it brand new. It's all packed up now ready to ship back so I don't want to mess around opening the unit. It did say rev C on the outer casing.... Obviously could have been different inside.

As far as I know, the most common failure mode is a voltage regulator chip that's running right at or just over its tolerances for current and heat. That's certainly the chip that's blown on mine. You can replace the chip fairly easily, but it'll just do the same thing again eventually. The later revisions use a different chip with higher specs.Still holding up. Wonder why...

I have a Revision A case and put a Revision H board in some time ago.
We need to let others know if this amp is finally stable. IMO, it needs to prove itself.
I need some of you lights about the FX and PATCH inputs/outputs.
Am I rigth to assume the PATCH is the effect loop you can find in any amps that is between the preamp and the power section?
Then what the FX thing is for? I've read it's affected by all controls except the volume. Could I thgen assume it's before the preamp?
I push the heck out of mine and it doesn’t miss a beat. Doesn’t get hot either. I remember my old ones would get hot as heck. This new one is hooked up to a nice power conditioner though.The only amp I've been gigging since December 2017 is a SVT 7 Pro that I bought new and it hasn't had any issues whatsoever, but I do not push it volume-wise at all. I run the gain at around 2 o'clock and the master between 9 and 11 o'clock (normally closer to 9). REV C00 on the outside, REV H01 main board.
Yes I did read the manual. However, you seem to confirm what I said about the patch being a "real" FX loop as it comes from the preamp and goes into the power amp. The FX thing seem to be another thing, yes controlled by the blend knob.No the patch is the pre amp output, power amp input, for use with an external pre amp or power amp. The FX send return is for the FX knob on the front, before master volume. Did you read the manual?
No, the patch is after the master volume, the fx loop is before, and has a blend as well. You can call it a real FX loop, but it’s the pre out, power amp in.
