In the mean time I got the SVT7 Pro installed with an Ampeg 115HLF. Sounds great but no exactly the sound I'm looking for. I'll have to keep looking.
Is it possible to upload a recorded mp3 with the sound I want?

Best thing to do is contact Ampeg and see if they have any left or know anywhere else to get them. Sweetwater might, but I don't know.

I apologize for being lazy as i could easily try this, but i'm sure someone already knows the answer. If i use another amps preamp and route it from the other amps fx send or line out to the fx return of my SVT-7, will there be a signal at the line out of the SVT-7 (for FOH use etc.)? Thanks!

According to the block diagram above - if you have the DI out switched to Post EQ AND you have the FX mix set to fully wet, then, - yes the output of the effects return will be sent to the DI out

Thanks @pgpete That makes sense. I did hook it up (without the XLR out) as described in my previous post and i'm quite sure that the EQ on the SVT-7 wasn't affecting the signal at all, so it's a bit confusing that the DI should be switched to post EQ then... or is it?

That's not the question you asked. if the signal is coming through Effects Return (from an external preamp) then the 7pro EQ isnt in the signal chain

Ah, the signal chain in my brain wasn't working properly Looking at the block diagram once more along with your comment it seems clear to me now. It should work and that's good news. Thanks again!

I just got a SVT 7PRO to go with my SVT 810E or Heritage SVT 410HLF, depending on how my back feels. I'm very happy with it! I heard so much bad coments about it but I figured I would roll the dice. and I'm glad that I did. More power than I'll ever need, Great tone and it don't weigh 80lbs!

I haven't gotten the volume over 3. And the 410HLF has so much more bottom than the 810. The 810 is fuller but the 410 has lots of bottom. Very happy with both cabinets. I went from a Mesa SubwayD800(the Mesa Rocks too!), to the Ampeg gear

I use it with two SWR Goliath III and that's how I set the master too. That amp is so damn powerful!

Those Ampeg Heritage 4x10 cabs sound great. I love mine. And they're not so hard to move around

Is it noticeably easier than the standard 810? I'm asking as 810 have always been a hassle to move around to me. That's the reason why I use two 410.

That Heritage 410 is a beast! The bottom end is massive! It's very easy to move around. I have a 1x15 Mesa that's harder to load than my 8x10 in my opinion. I can put my 8x10 in the backseat of my Malibu easier than that Mesa! lol It's a heavy square chunk. too wide to get through the door. I'm glad I got that Heritage 410 though, I think it's the best I've heard
