Bill Hughes is quoted in the Ampeg book as saying that they thought they'd sell 50 or 60 to rich pros and hobbyists but ended up selling many thousands of them. So the answer is "many thousands"

I'd love to get a list of known talkbass blueline serial numbers, and see the range. But is that a bad idea? Having the serials on the web?
Hey Friends,
I am restoring a '72 Blueline, and wondering what you guys recommend for cleaning the faceplate, inside preamp casing, and chassis (we know Jimmy likes windex) lol. I need something that will really make this baby shine again.
Best,
I didnt sell this...I ended up keeping it, and soooo glad I did, the tone and power is unmatched with anything Ive played...I love this rig.Im looking to get out of the club, this is a great amp, Im just strapped for cash and have one of these to borrow from my guitarist in the band...if anyone is interested in getting one, or another...here is my post in local CL wth pics.:

Make DANG sure the fuse is the right spec first.Help!
I was playing my SVT last week, as normal, when I heard a "pop" (the exact same type that you hear if you unplug from your bass when the amp isn't in standby). The panel light immediately cut off, as did the fan, and it doesn't power back on. No sound, no light, totally dead. Any idea what could have gone wrong? I'm taking it to a tech on Wednesday, but I thought I'd get a preliminary diagnosis.
My 69 Linden NJ Super Valve Technology head. One of my most prized possessions. I had an eden 4x10 for sale in the local paper in the 90s and a guy called to see if I would trade it for this head.
