Ampeg SVT-CL biasing tubes HELP

One of the power tubes in my SVT-CL went out. I know the ideal situation is to replace all the tubes at once with a matched sextet, but hey, that's a lot of money. Plus, I just had all 6 replaced with a matched sextet a couple months ago and I haven't played it that often since. So I'm trying to only replace the fault one. My question is this: the manual says that the 1st LED control biases the left 3 tubes (as seen from the back) and the 2nd LED biases the right three. Do they mean the left three as in 2 in the back and 1 in the front (triangle configuration) or do they mean left three as in the back 3 tubes? Thanks for the help.

As the amp has two bias controls you don't need to replace a sextet. Two sets of matched trios would be fine. Just replacing one would mean that the new tube could be working fine, could be doing more work than the others or be doing very little depending on what it's requirements are.

ok thanks paul. I actually have 4 tubes that are matched, so i'll just replace one bank of tubes.

The manual is unclear in saying the left 3 or right 3, actually the lights are for either the front row or the back row.
