My trusty old Ampeg SVT III is acting up on me. I plan on bringing it to an amp guy this week, I was just wondering what you guys suspect the problem may be. After the amp warms up and clicks on, it will click again and go silent. After a few seconds the amp clicks again and I'll have sound. This will happen every few seconds, sometimes several fast clicks in a row. I never lose power and I get continuous signal to my rack mounted tuner. I tried several different speaker cables and the amp does the same thing. The amp is a blue face SVT from 1994.
