Ampeg SVT Micro Head

I was surprised/impressed when I saw a band the other nite on Leno or Lettermen. The bassist had that tiny micro-VR head on top of the huge 810 cab.

Of course then he also had that awesome, Avalon UL?/AL?/-whatever, pre/DI sitting right next to it. I did not think those VR's were of pro quality from the looks of it. I stand corrected for sure.

I sorta got my eye on that SVT 7 Pro, waiting to hear back if a local craigslister still has his for sale or if it sold. :hyper:

I just picked up a Micro VR today for $100 bucks. It was a serious dent-n-scratch unit, but still new in the box. Everything works, and sounds just fine. I needed something for home practice use that has a headphone jack. It's a plus that I can throw it under the truck seat as a gig back up.
As you can see the mesh has a big hole. Also both sides are a little banged up too, but as long as it works I couldn't pass up the deal.

Owen Biddle also used one on Jimmy Fallon before he quit the Roots. And I've seen the bassist of Jimmy Eats World using one as well. And of course, fans of my band have seen me using one on occasion ;)
