ampeg svt pro2, problem?

Hi! I just bought a new svt pro2 amp and I am afraid there are some problems with the sound volume. If I set up the master and the gain level to clock 12, the sound volume is still quit low..if I turn them to clock 9 I can hear almost nothing. Is it normal that you have to turn the master really high (clock 3) order to have high volume of sound? I am using ampeg 810 cabinet. There are 300W in this full tube amp, so it should be enought..?:eyebrow:
Hope someone can help! Thanks!

Mine will blow you away at 12 o clock, somethings wrong .Do you have new tubes? Do you have the ohms selector switched to 4 ohms? I set the preamp just enough to clip the light and then adjust your volume from there.....

This doesn't seem normal to me. Your amp may indeed have a problem.
I'd suggest you call/email Ampeg ASAP. [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

If your amp does play as loudly as other SVT-II pro's, but just needs its master set to a higher position:

It's been suggested that the new Ampeg factory may be currently substituting some various components. If your rig does get really loud when you set your master to 3 o'clock or higher, I'm wondering if yours may simply be equipped with a different type of volume pot or a redesigned circuit resulting in a different knob-position to volume level ratio. (still being as loud as the older models, but just requiring higher knob position settings)

Let us know what Ampeg says.

every settings should be correct (ohms etc..) I still havent try the speakon cable. For sure there is enought volume for me, but it requires that I turn the master and gain over clock 12. But also the peak led start flashing in this position. I sent mail to ampeq, so let see what they say.
Anyway..Thanks alot for all you!
