Ampeg SVT tube DU

An Ampeg "SVT tube direct injection unit" has become available. It looks in pretty good condition. Does anyone know anything about these?

Discontinued a while back but here's the manual. There are some videos on youtube out there, and some threads on here on TB. Obeid Khan who worked on the original unit sells a similar model [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] and there is some info on that page.

Here is the schematic. It uses a single 12AU7 tube. The balanced out is transformer based.
