I'm in the market to upgrade my rack cases, what are a few good ones to look at?

The bands I worked for generally ordered custom made tour cases instead of buying off the shelf. This is the expensive way to do it, but we needed heavy duty cases that were tailored to the dimensions of our truck so packing went a bit easier.

If cost is a factor, I think people are generally favorable on Road Racks and Cases

Not the best or cheapest cases but seems to represent good cost/value compared to other bargain brands. Perhaps rated light-medium duty, so consider how much abuse you will throw at them.

They have been around forever. There are plenty of them available on the used market.

Those are good starting places. The Road racks& cases look good and reasonably priced.

Anvil cases are well known and been around for years. I'll look around that site some more.

@agedhorse... Sorry for any static... really... as I've said before I have read posts here LONG before I joined and I found (and still do find) you to be VERY knowledgeable and informative! I suppose we both have a hard noggin' but I do concede to your technical knowledge... it's just that SOME things make me take a step back (usually pertaining to my ideas of things... and well everyone has theirs) but I DO and HAVE respected your input on MANY topics. I still do but I will still have my own input and questions... anyone without questions in their mind on ANYTHING in life... well THAT would worry me.

There is A TON of information in THIS THREAD that spans TONS O' SHCTUFF. All somewhat relative to the original question yet spanned into multiple dimensions of many things that could be asked by a person/s (myself and most likely others in a similar situation) that is/are NEW to buying a power amp for power from their preferred Pre-amp ALL THE WAY to a rack case for said gear.

We ARE ALL musically involved here in some shape or form. In the end WE can speak MUSIC. Happy Holidays and HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE! I prefer to mike a cab with an SM 57

When I can't do that a balanced line out will do … a Crown power Amp should be able to take a balanced line out from an Ampeg …

The unbalanced line out can result in buzzing

I just got a SVP Pro and the balanced out to my Crown XLS 1002 is louder (and cleaner/quieter) than the preamp out(s) which I think would be TS. Has anyone else seen this issue?
