Ampeg SVT350H vs. Ampeg PF-500

Jimmy try clicking the box in the left corner or the message and then when prompted check "leave the conversation" and I think that deletes it. I tried it on one of my messages and that seemed to do the trick.

Technology is fickle! Yesterday I was working on some PDF documents when my Adobe suddenly shut down and I had to reboot. It then decided I was no longer the author of my documents and I was stuck in read-only mode. No idea what happened!

Hey there Jimmy, I wanted to let you know I found a local guy on FB Marketplace that had a PF-800 in great condition for about half the price of a new one. I hauled my cab to his place, gave it a try out and really liked it. So a few minutes and dollars later I had myself an Ampeg Class-D with carry case and cables.

I just had a gig this Friday and brought along the new edition. I also had installed some fresh strings on my work basses. WOW, what a great sound. And as you said, compared to my previous amp, like night and day. A good friend of mine is repairing the SVT-450H, and that will become my backup. Thanks again for the advice.

Sweet! Yeah, the 800 is a sweetheart. I kind of miss mine that I sold in the spring after Covid hit, but amps I have plenty of, so it was OK to let a couple go.

I'm using a PF500 for most everything now. I also own SVT 3pro and SVT 4pro heads. The PF500 has become my go-to. That should tell you something

It tells me you don't want to hoist the 4 Pro anymore Can't say I blame you. But man, that's the one amp that I never got for pragmatic reasons but always wanted one. I figured I'd still rather tote a tube amp if I'm going for the gusto and I'd rather tote the PF350 when size matters.

yup, pretty much, LOL. That SVT4 in a 6 space rack with a tuner, bbe, and power conditioner weighs every bit of 125lbs. You know what's even worse ? I used to also carry a Crown Macrotech 2400 as well, to use as a slave amp for my rig. That sucker is like 80lbs too. I was using the 4 pro for its pre-amp only, LOL.... DUH !
