Ampeg SVX software

Hi JMJ,
Just curious if you've tried the IK Multimedia Ampeg SVX amp modeling software and what you think of the sound of it. I'm debating between that and just getting a VT bass pedal for my home studio amp modeling needs (tried the BassPOD but just wasn't feeling it). The flexibility of software is always appealing to me, but the plug-and-playness of a stomp is too! So, it comes down to the meat-and-potatoes tone. I haven't had the opportunity to test drive either yet.

Thanks!

Is there a demo of that software? If so, grab it. If not, I think the SVX sounds good, in my rather limited experience. I probably need more time with it.

Best,
JMJ

I thought the SVX was a joke at first, but I recently got fooled in an AB test on here, so I downloaded the demo again and did some more playing with it. Turns out it's pretty accurate, much more than I thought at first. But personally, I'd rather have the VT.
